ごっこ遊び

I don't know what you call ごっこ遊び in English.
My dictionary says it's make-believe play.

My daughter asked me to play with her, but I was drawing for my blog.
She said it was OK and asked me to play the role of customer
when I finished.

When she finished preparing her 'bakery' with a cushion,
toy bricks and toy money, I was still drawing.

But did she wait for me silently?

No, she began to practice selling,

"I say, 'Hello. Well come to my shop,' and I use this machine, 'pee'."
I felt uncomfortable and said, "I'll join you now."

Listening to her practicing, I came to understand how she had
wanted to play with me, and I thought I had to join her in a hurry.

My original Japanese entry.
